After finishing my lit degree, I completely stopped reading.  I had lost the ability to read for pleasure.  But in early 2013 I discovered reading could be social.  And in the autumn of 2013 I discovered MM romances and that reading could be downright HOT.  I haven't stopped reading since!

I live on Goodreads but I promise to figure out Booklikes eventually.

Dirty Deeds

Dirty Deeds - S.E. Jakes This was an intense little number! That little number is 4, in fact. 4 hot cyber-sex, spys, and spooks stars.

For those of you wondering, I think you absolutely need to read [b:Catch a Ghost|18278085|Catch a Ghost (Hell or High Water, #1)|S.E. Jakes|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1375491930s/18278085.jpg|21986908] and [b:Long Time Gone|17936957|Long Time Gone (Hell or High Water, #2)|S.E. Jakes|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1378452000s/17936957.jpg|25147493] before you read this. The hunt for John and the spy world’s efforts to determine whether he is still alive drives most of this story. Without reading [b:Catch a Ghost|18278085|Catch a Ghost (Hell or High Water, #1)|S.E. Jakes|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1375491930s/18278085.jpg|21986908] and [b:Long Time Gone|17936957|Long Time Gone (Hell or High Water, #2)|S.E. Jakes|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1378452000s/17936957.jpg|25147493], you won’t get the full understanding of who John is and why he is so important.

If you have read [b:Catch a Ghost|18278085|Catch a Ghost (Hell or High Water, #1)|S.E. Jakes|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1375491930s/18278085.jpg|21986908] and [b:Long Time Gone|17936957|Long Time Gone (Hell or High Water, #2)|S.E. Jakes|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1378452000s/17936957.jpg|25147493] and plan to continue with the series* (book 3 I hear is coming in May), then this novella has information I assume will be crucial for later books in the Hell and High Water series as well.

(*If you don't plan to continue with this series, consider getting your head checked. How could you quit now?????)

But, back to the book. There was so much going on in every moment of this story: sex, flirting, murder, espionage. It kept my full attention all of the way through. So, although it was short, I felt like I got a full book’s worth of goodness out of it.

Nothing is really resolved in this book. In fact things are barely getting started when it ends. But I wouldn't call it a cliffie. It was more like the promise of so much more to come.
