After finishing my lit degree, I completely stopped reading.  I had lost the ability to read for pleasure.  But in early 2013 I discovered reading could be social.  And in the autumn of 2013 I discovered MM romances and that reading could be downright HOT.  I haven't stopped reading since!

I live on Goodreads but I promise to figure out Booklikes eventually.

Hipster Slave Boy

Hipster Slave Boy - Nate Tanner What the fuck did I just read? I am trying really hard not to rate this book for the mere fact that it's not my cuppa. That is not the author's fault or a problem with the writing.

Still, there was no development or progression of the characters. Could Dominic really have been that angry all the time? I would have been fine if he were a dominant who didn't really express his emotions and enjoyed rough play and certain kinks, but the constant anger grated on me. And even as a "slave," it seems like Cooper, who was with Dominic of his own free will, should have needed a bit more from the "relationship" (I use that term loosely) to stay with Dominic over a year.

And trying to fit a year of events and relationship into 26 pages? It just didn't work.
